HOW DO I MANAGE PRODUCTS AND CATEGORY IMAGES?

This article explains how to organise your product catalogue, rearrange categories and products, update product images, and edit product descriptions from your back office.

Manage Categories

Access the category manager

  1. Navigate to Business from the left sidebar.
  2. Locate your business and click the Edit action icon.
  3. Click Manage Categories in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. The categories opens.

Update Category Images and Names

  1. In the Manage Categories screen, Click the Edit icon on the specific product you want to edit

  2. Click the Edit icon on the specific product.

  3. Upload or replace the product image. Image file names must have no spaces — use an underscore instead (e.g. image_1). Logo images must be greater than 800px by 800px.

  4. To update the product name or description, scroll to the Product Detail page section and make your edits. Descriptions accept HTML formatting.

  5. Select Save.

Good to know
Product image and name changes appear on your client-facing site immediately after saving.
Confirm the update by visiting your live site link in the Location tab.
To update a category image, click the Edit icon on the category row rather than on an individual product.

Rearrange Categories and Products

 

  1. In the Manage Categories screen, drag and drop categories into the order you want them to appear on your client-facing site.
  2. Select Save in the top right corner after rearranging categories.
  3. Click the arrow beside a category to expand it and see the individual products inside.
  4. Drag and drop products within a category to change their display order.
  5. Select Save after every change.

Good to know
Always hit Save after each change.
If you rearrange categories and then expand a product list without saving first, your category order changes may not be retained.

Important: Updating product images on description pages

Product images are not dynamic. If you update a product image in Manage Products, it will not automatically update on the Product Description page. You must update both separately to ensure your custom images appear correctly across your client-facing site.

To update the product image on the Product Description page:

  1. Update the product image in Left sidebar > Location > Manage Products > Edit product.
  2. Right-click the updated image and select Copy Image Address.
  3. Scroll down to the Product Detail page section within the same product.
  4. Click Load Platform Default HTML to view the loaded HTML. If you have custom HTML already in place, your image should be loading from there and you can skip to step 5 to verify.
  5. In the HTML, locate the following block and replace the existing image address with the new one you copied:

    6. Select Save, then visit your client-facing site to confirm the image has updated correctly.

Good to know
If you have custom HTML on your Product Description page, your image may already be pulling from your custom code.
Always check your live site after saving to confirm the change has taken effect.
